values and traditions, this Tamil remake
of Telugu film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu
Verule (starring Venkatesh and
Trisha) is for all in the family. The
cast include Dhanush, Nayantara, Raguvaran,
Karunas and Karthik Kumar.
Music for the movie was scored by Yuvan
Shankar Raja.

SANTHIPOM starring Cheran, Sneha and
Jeyaram is a Karu Palaniappan
direction. The story line is somewhat a ‘Cheran-type’
movie, where it relates to real-life current issues.
Pirivom Santhipom brings about the values and importance
of a joint-family versus a nucleus family. It also
shows how career choices can make or break a family.
This movie has some good take-home messages, especially
for youth. Music in this movie is scored by Vidyasagar.

of first year students coming together as a group
of best friends. Their varying backgrounds, their
fight to move ahead and achieve their respective
dreams, their determination to face day-to-day hardship
regardless of their difficult family status, and
most of all – their fight to hold their friendship
bond strong is depicted well in this movie. Directed
by Balaji Shakthivel and produced by
S.Shankar, Kallori is a nice entertainment
film. Thamanna, Balamurugan, Hema, Rajeswari,
Sailatha, Mayareddy, Arunkumar, Alex Prakash and
debutant Akhil star in this movie. Music
is scored by Joshua Srithar.

NENJATHAI KILLATHE is
directed by Agathiyan and music is scored
by Premji Gangai Amaran. This 2008 film
is starring Vikranth, Bharathi, Manivannan,
Saranya and Nizhalgal Ravi. A simple
love story among two youth, this movie approaches
love in a slightly different manner. An interesting
take-home note for the younger generation out there…

this movie dwells very well on parents’ relationships
with young adult children, especially the father-son
relationship. Devi Sri Prasad’s has
seven entertaining songs throughout the movie
which fit in very well. A good entertainment
with a great take-home message for parents and
children alike.
