SWARAJATI – COMPOSITIONS OF SRI SYAMA SASTRI by T.M. Krishna is yet another Charsur Digital Work Station (CDW) production. T.M.Krishna is accompanied by R.K.Sriram Kumar on the violin and Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam on the mridangam. First track, Rave Himagiri in Todi raga and Adi tala, while the second track, Amba Kamakshi, is in Yadukulakamboji raga and Misra Chapu tala. The final composition, Kamakshi, is in Bhairavi raga and again Misra Chapu tala. All three compositions are by Sri Syama Sastri.

A three cds compilation, VARAKARI SAMPRADAYA – ABHANGS is by Sri Tukaram Ganapathi Maharaj with Vittoba Bhajan Mandali. This album comes under the Charsur Digital Work Station (CDW) label recorded live at Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai. A total of 17 compositions, this album was recorded and mixed by Suresh Gopalan. A compilation that is worth money for it’s value – Abhangs.

COMPANION seven track album is a divine companion beyond all barriers. The album is a fusion by Ajna and music by S.Santha Kumar. A 2007 Saregama production includes singers such as R. Nitya, R.Vidya, R.Avantika and K.Krishnakumar. Companion is a new-age fusion of classical vocals.

Sri Ganapathini – Krithis on Lord Ganesha is a 2007 Saregama production. This divine collection of compositions on Lord Ganesha consists of eleven tracks by various artists and composers. Artists included on this album are M.S.Subhulakshmi, S.Nityashree, S.Gayathri, S.Sowmya and O.S.Thiagarajan. Composers who scored for this album include Muthuswami Dikshitar, Papanasan Sivan and Tyagaraja. A classic collection not to be missed out on.

Singers Bombay Sisters, M.Balamuralikrishnan, Aruna Sayeeram, M.L.Vasanthakumari, M.S.Subhulakshmi, Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Priya Sisters, Trichur V.Ramachandran and R.Vedavalli form this album. Classical listeners would find this a value buy to be added to their personal collection.
